The enviroment is organized around three concepts: song, loop and devices (clasiffied in Synthesizers, Drum Machines and Modulators) The relation between these elements is expresed in the folowing image
Each element has its own editor.
A Song is a sequence of independent music pieces, called loops. Within a song you can create and arrange loops to build a composition. When your tune is ready, you can publish it to the comunity and share your work with others.
This is the main building block of the enviroment, it is a music unit created by the combination of different sound layers that are played togheter. The editor provides a mixer with channels where you can plug devices (Synthesizers, Drum machines and Modulators) and set their volume and pan (both programable over time through adjustable curves). The mixer also have two effets channels (reberb and delay) width independent send amount from each device. Finally, it has a "Base note" that syncronizes all the conteined sequencers grids to facilitate block transposition and adapt easily the melodys that you imported from other users.
These are the basic sound generators that live within a loop. You could instantiate the same device many times in the same loop, each one with a different configuration. Currently there are three devices:
This device is a melodic pattern generator. It has a squencer alike interface where you can draw notes and three adjustable curves that let you control the sound characteristics over time. It is fully polyphonic and provides several instrument banks.
This device is a drum pattern generator. It has 6 different drumkits (each one composet by 17 drum elements width independent volume and pan), a built in reberb and some predefined execution presets to accelerate the program time.
This device is an analog like modular synthesizer focussed on the creation of sound effects. It will let you add to your songs that kind of odd noises that are imposible to program on a sequencer. It is composed by different modules that are synchronized with the main tempo so you could use it to develop wild rhythm effects.
